New Builds, Kit Houses, Renovations and Conservatories.

Whether you are looking at a new build, extension or renovating your existing premises we can tailor our service to suit your needs. We are able to carry out major renovation works to an impeccably high standard. Previous examples have included loft conversions, kitchen conversions, extensions and alterations.

We can also supply and fit conservatories to client's requirements. Our individual designs are created in order to enhance the existing property; opening an elevation on a property gives a feeling of space and lends a sense of relaxation by framing an area of glass in order to give that picture postcard view. Our talented tradesmen will support you throughout the entire process, from design to completion.

Arrangements can be made to view completed contracts.

Additionally we have a standard range of twenty kit houses to choose from. All standard kit designs can be altered to suit your specific requirements. We can also advise on your own kit design and requirements, included in our Design and Build services.

We provide:

- A variety of finishes both externally (i.e. slates & roof tiles) & internally with various internal doors, facings etc.

- Arrangements to view completed kit houses in order to give clients a feel for room dimension, quality of workmanship/finishes etc.

- On receipt of an official order, architectural drawings will be provided free of charge for your home.

- Assistance in obtaining Planning & Building Warrant Approval.

- We can guarantee that all homes erected by Lewis Builders Kit Homes will be covered by an NHBC ten year warranty.

Commercial Work

We are able to undertake commercial projects, providing a wide range of services from repairs and maintenance through to full design and building contracts. Large and small projects are catered for and each is carried out by our professional teams to an impeccably high quality finish. After discussing your requirements our team will design, project manage and install your new facility with minimal disruption. We ensure that each project is approached with the enthusiasm, expertise and commitment expected from our team.

Previous commercial projects have included:

Royal Mail

This contract was awarded late November 2010 with a tight time frame of only 14 weeks for completion. The works consisted of turning an existing builder's merchants store and external yard into a new sorting and delivery office for the Royal Mail, including external vehicle parking and a storage compound. The works were completed and handed over including the H/S manuals on the twelfth week of the contract.

Borve Cottages

These cottages are positioned on sloping rocky terrain and involved blasting 4m into the hillside to allow the footprint to sit comfortably within the landscape. The use of rock to encompass the cottages, lends the impression that they have being here for some time. Utilising local turf to cover the roof means the cottages have little visual impact, and they also make use of environmentally friendly air source heat pumps and under floor heating to give an enhancing warmth to the interior, which is further complimented by wood burning stoves for those wild Hebridean nights.

Hotel Hebrides

This project entailed extending the rear elevation of the Hotel to accommodate extra rooms together with remodelling existing rooms in order to provide each with en suite facilities. New services were provided throughout the building to provide heating and plumbing again using environmentally friendly air source heat pumps to deliver the required demands.
